Description

This course is designed to continue expanding upon the learners? knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology, Medical Terminology, English for Medical Transcription Careers and Beginning Medical Transcription. This hands-on training implements all facets of medical transcription and is designed to offer real life experience in the field of medical transcription. This course offers the learner the experience of using medical transcription reference material, as well as implementing the industry standard guidelines set by The Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI), as well as HIPAA compliance and Joint Commission updates. This course emphasizes acute care medical transcription. The medical specialties of Gastrointestinal and Orthopedics will be covered in this portion of the training with a focus on surgical reports. To address multicultural diversities in the industry of medical transcription, learners will be exposed to numerous different dialects of English as a Second L
