Description
This course is designed to familiarize the student with the role of a tutor and the methods of effective tutoring. It emphasizes collaborative, interactive approaches to learning in a group setting. It employs a combinationof on-line learning with group discussion and instructor lectures. It focuses ont he role of a peer tutor andproven methods of effective tutoring. This course is required of all second semester learners before their being assigned as Peer Tutor or Peer Led Team Learners. Individual and cooperative problem solving are both emphasized. (Summer)
