Description
This course is designed to provide candidates with knowledge and skills needed to recognize and identify characteristics of preschool children with disabilities, keeping in mind that each child is a unique gift and not defined by his or her disability. An emphasis on general characteristics of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders will be included. Case study methods will be utilized to provide candidates the opportunity to think critically, apply concepts, learn collaboratively, and use problem-solving skills in ?real life? situations.
