Infant & Toddlers with Disabilities (SPD 406)

Term: 2013-2014 Fall

Description

Being involved in a program that services infants and toddlers with disabilities enables teacher candidates to apply theoretical understandings regarding early intervention practices to the field of working with children ages birth to three and their families. In this field study, candidates practice written and oral reflection about early intervening services and accommodate their beliefs and knowledge of theory as it applies to the daily experiences of families living and raising infants and toddlers with disabilities in their natural environments. Candidates share their reflections and other written assignments during weekly on-line discussions with the instructor. (Pre-requisite SPD 400) (Fall)
