Family and Professional Partnership (SPD 402)

Description

This course provides information on issues and practices related to working in partnership with families of young children who are culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse. Emphasis will be placed on taking a family system prospective and a family-centered approach to family support. Strategies for effective communication for the purpose of information sharing and collaborative planning with families are provided. Current scientifically based evidence will be reviewed and discussed pertaining to these topics.
