Early Childhood Special Education (SPD 400)

Term: 2012-2013 Spring

Description

This course introduces teacher candidates to children with developmental delays and/or disabilities, age birth through eight. The course addresses the federal and state laws and regulations for Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) and the five key domains of development: communication, physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and adaptive. Methods, evaluation, and individual planning in ECSE will be introduced. Prerequisite: EDU 205 and PSY 252. (Spring)
