Description

This course is designed to give the learner a new perspective on student behavior and effective tools for facilitating positive student change. The course provides a developmental framework for understanding what children are trying to communicate through the "language" of their behavior. Students will learn behavioral techniques and intervention strategies that remediate disruptive behaviors, reduce power struggles while increasing classroom control, and reduce the educator's workloads and burnout. The common goal is to find creative, effective solutions to behavioral problems that are in the best interest of the children. (Fall Campus based, Spring online)
