Description
Learners apply professional practices of health information management in an actual health care facility under the direct supervision of a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Administrtor (RHIA). This professional practice experience emphasizes the skills obtained in the second year courses. This course provides experiential opportunities relating to basic management; human resource supervision; financial management; coding, billing, and reimbursement practices; data reporting; medical staff credentialing; peer review activities; and utilization of computerized systems available at clinical site.
