This course explores the principles of health information management techniques including effective planning, directing, organizing, controlling, leadership, motivation, and team building. The course emphasizes the function of management, leadership, and the relevant laws, rules and regulations, Learners have the opportunity to identify their personal managemetn and leadership style and identify ways to enhance their effectiveness with attention given to culturally diverse working environments. Computer-based learning opportunities with case studies. Prereq: HIT 104, 106, and 209. Campus based and On Line. (Fall)
