Description

This course emphasizes the language of medicine. It includes the combination of word roots with prefixes and suffixes. This course provides an introductory overview of medical conditions and ailments, diagnostic terms and procedures, and treatment methodologies according to body system. Accuracy in word construction, application, usage, and meaning of health care terms is emphasized. This course parallels course work in BIO 220 (Anatomy and Physiology I). It also incorporates computer-based learning opportunities. Campus based and On Line (Fall, Spring)
