Description
This course presents a study of the critical issues of health, safety and nutrition of young children. The important role of promoting good healthy attitudes and practices and creating safe and healthy environments is stressed. The course includes a comprehensive overview of basic nutrition and the critical value of good nutrition in the development of young children. Consideration of cultural diversity, particularly Native American, and special needs will be emphasized in the course content. (Spring) (Fall-OL)
