Description
This course introduces the student to GPS (Global Positioning System), photogrammetry and remote sensing. Students will be exposed to the theory behind each of the instruments used and the data each collects. The most common data storage formats of various raster datasets, along with aerial and satellite photographs and remote sensing images will be discussed. The course will also cover importing the various images and formats into ERDAS Imagine and ArcGIS, along with basic image processing techniques. (Fall)
