Description

This course further develops issues covered in EDU 330, Teaching Reading in the Elementary Classroom, with special attention to upper elementary grades (3-6). In EDU 330, candidates learned the development of learning to read. In this course, topics explored include the processes of assessing reading comprehension and vocabulary development, administering literacy assessments and using the information to plan and implement dynamic literacy instruction, and designing instruction based on students? needs in classrooms of diverse learners.
