    This course is designed to introduce students to current research, theories, practices, and materials involved in the development of language and literacy. The five components of reading instruction based on scientifically and research-based best practices.â€Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension are identified and closely examined.
