Description

This course is an introduction to methods of observing, documenting and assessing children's growth and development from birth through age five. A variety of topics are covered including reporting methods, types of observation, and the many environments in which a child can be observed. The course will focus specifically on observing and appropriately assessing children and families from culturally and ability diverse backgrounds. Students are required to complete a minimum of 8 hours of field experience in a variety of educational settings ? infant, toddler and preschool. Pre-requisite: ECE 210. (Fall)
