Description

This course serves as the cumulative application of acquired learning for the criminal justice major. The Fieldwork Course is a 120 hour work site learning experience for the criminal justice student, and is an essential component of the total curriculum. It is integrated with and compliments coursework, and provides an opportunity to apply learning in a workplace where facts can gain meaning, roles can be demonstrated, real challenges can be mastered, and the professional identity of the individual student can be developed.

This experience will assist the student in acquiring experience in a working environment and learning to function effectively in a professional workplace.

The Internship/Fieldwork experience, under the supervision of UTTC criminal justice professionals, will allow students to practice theories and techniques utilized in justice careers.
