Description

Senior Seminar serves as the cumulative application of acquired learning for the criminal justice major. The purpose of the course is to integrate all prior learning related to the criminal justice system to include, but not limited to: Constitutional Law; the Federal, State and Tribal legal processes; Federal, State and Tribal law enforcement and community based policing; Federal and State corrections; parole, probation and diversion programs; offender reentry strategies and issues; victimology; criminal behaviors and criminological theories; ultimately address current criminal justice issues, agencies entry requirements and personnel needs within a myriad of professional disciplines. Students will research potential positions with criminal justice agencies to include tribal and non-traditional support agencies and actively engage professional preparation for employment within their selected fields. (Fall, Spring)
