Description

This course introduces the concepts of terror, fear, despair, and learned helplessness experienced by victims of intimate partner violence. Theories explaining the occurrence of such violence are covered. Legal perspectives including mandatory arrest laws, restraining orders, and anti-stalking legislation are examined.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of CJU 201 or concurrent enrollment.
