Description

This course explores the unique challenges, opportunities, and strategies within Indigenous communities’ economic endeavors. Emphasis will be on managing enterprises within the context of tribal cultures, values, and sovereignty. Students analyze the diverse spectrum of tribal businesses, ranging from gaming operations to agriculture, tourism, and beyond. Through a multidisciplinary approach integrating business, cultural studies, and governance principles, students explore the nuances of tribal entrepreneurship, governance structures, and sustainable economic development.
