Description
This course is designed for students in General Education and various Allied Health programs including: Health Information Technology, Medical Transcription, Medical Administrative Assistant and other majors as advised. The course is a basic introduction to the principles of pharmacology, classes of drugs by body systems as well as antivirals, antibiotics, vaccines, immunizations, and chemotherapy agents. Basic drug concepts and nomenclature required in the allied health professions will be stressed.
