Description

This course provides knowledge to obtain a Class A license with combination vehicle and air brake components of the written test. This course identifies the laws and regulations, safe driving techniques at the state and federal level, and is designed to assist students with the skills necessary to pass the State Commercial Driver’s License permit test by midterm deadline. In Accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation (FMCSR) 49 CFR Part 380 Appendix A -Class A CDL Training Curriculum, students will be tested and must reach an 80% or above. Federal Motor Carrier safety regulation and industry standards are required for operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Current Driver’s License
Submit a copy of birth certificate
Submit Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) before semester midterms
Complete DOT Drug Analysis Screen before semester midterms
