Description
This course takes a comprehensive approach to the study of art history, emphasizing Indigenous artists. Topics include the exploration of traditional art forms, the impact of colonization on artistic expressions, and contemporary resurgence of art in response to social, political, and environmental challenges. Students will engage with primary sources, scholarly texts, and visual materials to understand the evolution of Indigenous art.
